So I made this new page to post the random cool videos I come across on the interwebs. Check back often, there may be more Warcraft videos, or crazy cats, or awesomely good and bad auditions from shows like SYTYCD, America's Got Talent, Idol etc.

As most of you know I am a native New Yorker. The events of 9/11/01 threw me into a 6 month depression spiral. One that even today makes it so that I can not watch any movies or TV programs regarding the events of that day. People have asked me why my reaction was so severe. I believe some of it was the worry for my brother C who is a paramedic for the FDNY and who at that time, was a mere 9 minutes from the towers. I knew that my brother would find there to be no greater way to go than to do it while rescuing people and for that I was so terrified. I think though in the end it wound up being a frustrated sense of impotence. A feeling that there was nothing I could do and that I had no control over anything. I couldnt and still can not wrap my brain around the hatred these people feel for a country that had the audacity to be free. I have been in battle with my govenrment for years, since 2000 to be exact, over the way that they handle things both at home and abroad. I disagree with nearly everything the 2 parties have done in the last decade. But what I have really learned through all this is that I can love my country even as I hate its government. I learned that I was way more patriotic than I thought. I love this country and all it stands for, people the world over still look to the US as a beacon of hope and justice. While that beacon has tarnished over the last decade, it is my great hope that once again the US will be the force for all that is good and just in this world and find a way to maintain freedom without injustice and prejudice for another 234 years. Enjoy this video, the song alone makes me cry, but I agree, no matter what manner of shitty ass government we may have right now. No matter what disagreements I have with my fellow country men (Tea Partiers, Palin, Limbaugh and Beck I'm looking at you!) I am damn proud to be an AMERICAN!
I also would like to leave you with this commentary penned by a Canadian broadcaster in 1973. At the time he was indignant about all the hate surrounding America's involvement in Vietnam. I think this is one of those timeless pieces that will remain to be true as long as we continue to be a country of individuals united in freedom and charity and NOT the puppets of drug addicted radio and Fox News talking heads and their fear mongering bullshit.
